OinkLedger Privacy Policy

1. Overview
OinkLedger is a virtual family and classroom ledger simulation designed to teach financial responsibility. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the limited personal information we collect. Our services are designed purely for educational purposes and do not involve real-world money, credit cards, or bank integration.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data required to deliver our educational service:
- Admin Accounts (Parents/Teachers): We collect your name, email address, and account password (stored securely as a hash) when you register to administer the virtual ledger.
- Savers (Children/Students): Admins create virtual profiles for children or students. We collect only the profile nickname or placeholder name provided by the Admin. We do not collect email addresses, contact details, or real-world identifying information for child/student accounts.
- Ledger Activity: We store the virtual transactions, chore logs, saving goals, and settings you configure within the app to display them on your private dashboard.
3. How We Use Information
Your data is used strictly to run, maintain, and secure the virtual ledger system. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data with any third parties, advertisers, or external services. There is no tracking or third-party profiling in OinkLedger.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliant)
OinkLedger is designed to be fully compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). Since children do not create their own accounts or provide email addresses, parents or educators act as the sole account administrators and consent to the creation of the virtual child profiles. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child directly, please contact us immediately to have it deleted.
5. Data Security
We implement standard, industry-recognized security safeguards (including SSL/HTTPS encryption and cryptographic password hashing) to protect your admin credentials. However, please remember that no system on the internet is completely secure.
6. Your Rights & Data Deletion Request
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. Because OinkLedger only requires an Administrator account (parent, teacher, or guardian) to manage virtual profiles, you can request the complete deletion of your admin account and all child/student data associated with it.
To request data deletion, you can submit a request directly through our web-based portal at Data Deletion Request, or email us at support@oinkledger.com. Once requested, we will verify your ownership of the account and permanently delete all your records from our database within 7 calendar days.
